Better living conditions for communities
21.11.2011Deçan 19 November – Egyptian and Ashkali communities of Shaptej village, municipality of Deçan, faced with lack of drinking water problem, thus making life of these communities even more difficult.
To solve this problem and to provide water as elementary need for life of this village inhabitants, the nongovernmental organization “Syri i Vizionit” from Peja with the support of Olof Palme Center, under the project for empowerment of Roma, Egyptian and Ashkali communities, opened a well for supplying these communities with drinking water.
The opening of the well came out as initiative and needed demand from the community itself to create better living conditions for families of these communities in the village.
