Children willing to monitor schools, parents and institutions over respect of their rights

Prishtinë 26 October -  The nongovernmental organization “Syri i Vizionit” held a training on monitoring child rights under the auspices of “Child Rights Governance- CRC Monitoring project with primary school pupils of “Naim Frashëri” school from Prishtinë, “Ramiz Sadiku” from Pejë and “Zekeria Rexha” from Gjakovë.
The goal of this training with the children group of each school is their empowerment and preparation in the field of child rights monitoring, where using questionnaires these pupils will carry out researches in three fields: “The right to education”, “Bullying” and “Discrimination (social discrimination)”.
Upon completion of trainings and with Syri i Vizionit organization’s support these pupils will start the field research through questionnaires where they will interview children in these three schools, their parents and institutions in charge in these three municipalities- Prishtinë, Pejë and Gjakovë.
These trainings are part of the “Child Rights Governance- CRC Monitoring” project that is being implemented by the nongovernmental organization “Syri i Vizionit” from Pejë, with the support of Save the Children International and SIDA.
This is a pilot project in the monitoring field and it is implemented in three primarty schools of municipalities of Kosovo: “Naim Frashëri” in Prishtinë, “Ramiz Sadiku”  in Pejë and “Zekeria Rexha” in Gjakovë.
