Study visit to Bulgaria for Kosovo farmers21.11.2013
13-16 November 2013 - As part of its European Union funded project Strengthening the civil society in policymaking and consultation with Government in agriculture sector, nongovernmental organization Syri i Vizionit organized a study visit to Bulgaria with representatives of the Union of Agricultural Associations of Kosovo (UAAK) Board.
During this study visit we visited producers of fodder plants, meat production and processing companies, solar and renewable energy production companies, poultry farms and meat processing companies, representatives of the association dealing with promotion of Bulgarian products abroad and Ministry of Agriculture representatives.
Experiences were exchanged in these visits and meetings on how a new European Union Member State faced with improvement and fulfilment of standards in food and agriculture industry, challenged they encountered, support that they have enjoy from their country and the European Union, as well as cooperation opportunities between these companies and UAAK.
Five members of the UAAK Board took part in this study visit, which learned from new experiences and searched for opportunities that they might implement in their organization.
