Four-day workshop for active citizens held

Prizren, February 25 - About 30 activists from civil society, politics, active citizens and volunteers from the municipalities of Peja region attended workshops on active citizenship in Kosovo.
In four days they identified problems and issues to address in their municipalities and went through different stages, starting from identifying of needs in the community through addressing them for solutions. The project aims to promote active citizenship and encourage active groups and citizens to initiate and bring about positive changes in the community they live in.
The “Active Citizens” project is implemented by Syri i Vizionit with funding from the British Council and it is being implemented in the municipalities of Peja, Deçan and Istog.
Workshop participants have also drafted several projects for action in these municipalities, thus identifying and addressing several citizens’ issues for solutions and they have drafted projects plans for which they will seek the support they need to materialize them in the coming months.
