Open call for new enterprises and start-ups of young people and women
This call is made by “SEED Step III Kosovo - Support for the Development of Education and Employment in Kosovo”, a project supported by the Austrian Development Agency (ADA) implemented by the NGO Syri i Vizionit and Volkshilfe Solidarität. The purpose of this call is to contribute to the development of new enterprises established between the last three years and the last three months (01 November 2018 to 01 September 2021) as well as the establishment of new enterprises (start-ups) not registered yet, which aim to improve employment and self-employment opportunities for young people (15-29 years) and women.
The SEED Step III Kosovo project was launched in January 2020, and it includes a wide range of activities which are implemented over a three-year period.
The current call contains two lots. Proposals under this call can be submitted in the following two areas:
Lot 1: Further development of new enterprises established in Peja, Gjakova and Prizren between the last three years and the last three months (01 November 2018 to 01 September 2021) by increasing production capacities in order to increase employment for young people 15-29 years and women to minimum 50% for at least 6 months.
Lot 2: Support the foundation of new innovative enterprises (start-ups) of young people 15-29 years and women in Peja, Gjakova and Prizren in order to support their self-employment
The total indicative amount which is made available under this call for proposals is 30,000.00 euros. The Contracting Authority reserves the right not to award all the funds put at disposal.
The total value per grant is ca. 2,500 EUR and it consists of:
1) 2,250 EUR in material/equipment (machines, appliances, equipment, consumables, furniture and other necessary items for starting and developing one’s own business) and
2) ca. 250 EUR for a training mobility (training voucher, SiV will cover all costs of participation of the grant winners in relevant Vocational Training Centres in Peja, Gjakova and Prizren.)
Participation in the training is mandatory for the grant recipients. The trainings are implemented in cooperation with the Vocational Training Centres in Peja, Gjakova and Prizren and the SEED Step III program points out that grant beneficiaries are obliged to attend a training on entrepreneurship or relevant professions in another than their home municipality.
Grants will be distributed proportionally to each municipality. A maximum of 4 grants will be allocated to the municipalities - Peja, Gjakova and Prizren.
SEED Kosovo reserves the possibility not to allocate all the funds put at disposal in case the proposed actions do not meet the selection criteria.
