Klin\u00eb, 14 August \u2013 The Municipality of Klin\u00eb and the non-governmental organisation Syri i Vizionit have formalised their cooperation for the implementation of the AGE+ project II<\/a> programme \u2013 \u201cBuilding age-friendly communities through intergenerational action in Kosovo\u201d, which will be implemented during the 2026-2028 period, with the support of the Austrian Development Agency (ADA) and co-financing from Volkshilfe Solidarit\u00e4t.<\/p>\n

The Memorandum of Understanding was signed by Dr Zenun Elezaj, Mayor of the Municipality of Klin\u00eb, and Veton Mujaj, Executive Director of Syri i Vizionit, thereby formalising their joint commitment to strengthening cooperation in support of older citizens.<\/p>\n

Through this cooperation, the aim is to promote active and healthy ageing, increase the participation of older women and men in community life and decision-making processes, and improve local services and mechanisms that address their needs.<\/p>\n

An important component of the programme is the establishment and operationalisation of the Solidarity Centre for older people, which will serve as a space for socialisation, cultural, educational, health and intergenerational activities, creating more opportunities for the activation and inclusion of older people in the community.<\/p>\n

Likewise, through intergenerational activities, the aim is to strengthen connections among young people, children, and older people by promoting respect, solidarity, and the exchange of experiences across generations.<\/p>\n

This is an important step towards creating a more inclusive, active and age-friendly community in the Municipality of Klin\u00eb, where older people are heard, included, contribute and are valued.<\/p>\n

With this agreement, the Municipality of Klin\u00eb and Syri i Vizionit reaffirm their commitment to building a community where older age is not seen only as a beneficiary category, but as an active and important part of community life.<\/p>\n
