The entrepreneurship school that Syri i Vizioni organized in ten months within the framework of the Women’s Support Project, was concluded with a ceremony in which 24 participating women were certified. Representatives from the business community, civil society and politics from four municipalities of the region: Peja, Istogu, Decani and Juniku have attended trainings from the best experts on topics such as: Proactive Governance, Communication, Networking, Advocacy, Grants in Kosovo and the drafting of project proposals, Entrepreneurship and Innovation, Integrations and the contribution of women, which were intended to support and empower this group to be the bearer of processes in the support of women in the region.
From the workshops held in Peja, Pristina and Junik, the group of participants initiated the idea of continuity of work in this team, creating an informal group of active women from different fields in the different municipalities of the region where they come from. Syri i Vizioni has supported them by engaging an expert to help them design an action strategy and to identify the ways of action and the plan of activities and the division of responsibility in the process of formation and activation for the group.
The Women’s Support Project has been implemented since February 2016 in the municipalities of the Peja region with the financial support of USAID/ATRC. In the framework of this project, work has been done on empowering women in the municipalities of the region of Peja, through capacity building, networking, exchange of experiences and finally also with the change of local legislation, a process that is happening in cooperation with the four municipalities where the project is being developed.
