Durrës, December 14-17- Syri i Vizioni in partnership with Save the Children and in cooperation with the Legal Office of the Prime Minister of Kosovo, are conducting a three-day workshop with the working group to finalize the draft of the Law on the Protection of Children.
Representatives of central institutions such as the deputy minister of the Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare, Rita Hajzeraj, the director of the Legal Office from the Prime Minister’s Office, Besim Kajtazi, representatives from the Ministry of European Integration, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of justice, the Basic Court, the Prosecutor’s Office, the Center for Social Work, UNICEF, Terre de Homes as well as the organizers and supporters of this workshop, Eye of Vision and Save the Chilren.
Besim Kajtazai, director of the Legal Office and head of the working group on the Child Protection Law, said that “this workshop was necessary, as it will be possible to finalize this law with the working group, which is very important for our children and for the institutions themselves”.
On the other hand, the Deputy Minister of Ministry of Education, Rita Hajzeraj said that “It is very important to have a good law that matches the situation on the ground, that it is applicable in practice and our institution will provide all the support appropriate for this”. She thanked Eye of Vision and Save the Children for this workshop, as well as other international organizations such as Terre de Homes and UNICEF for previous workshops.
This workshop for the finalization of the child protection law is held within the “Together for Children’s Rights” program, which is implemented by Syri i Vizioni in partnership with Save the Children in Kosovo.
