October 9 – The non-governmental organization Syri i Vizioni, within the framework of the “Active Citizenship” program, for five days has carried out the “Active Citizenship Week” campaign, from Monday to Friday, with the aim of activating citizens and making them aware of the enterprise. of own initiatives to change the situation in one’s life.

Active Citizenship Week took place in five municipalities in which the project is implemented: Peje, Istog, Klinë, Deçan and Rahovec, giving citizens the opportunity to address the institutions with requests, complaints and recommendations that have been collected and will be are sent to the municipal authorities in each of these municipalities where the campaign takes place.
The campaign was carried out in the center of these cities by placing a table and banners with the motto of the campaign “Active Citizenship Week”, as well as a large panel in which citizens left messages for the mayors of the municipalities or their institutions. Also, they have had the opportunity from there to make requests, complaints addressed to the relevant institutions for their problems, which are submitted to the designated directorates also by the women assembly members who are part of the campaign, requests that are mainly related to the improvement of the conditions of life, water and sewerage, lighting, arrangement of spaces for sports and entertainment, etc.

Also, in order to achieve the goal of the campaign for the awareness and activation of citizens, two radio debates were held to inform them about the “Active Citizenship Week”, and citizens were invited to be more active and take their own initiatives for the problems of theirs.
This project aims to educate, sensitize and raise the awareness of citizens as a good example of active citizenship and raising their awareness, which is carried out by the NGO Syri i Vizioni, within the “Active Citizenship” program, financially supported by Olaf Palme Internacional Center and AIDS.
