Peja, July 14- In order to facilitate the preparation of annual plans for career guidance and counseling, Syri i Vizioni has engaged experts who will help and train teachers in drafting a model plan. In the first workshop held at the Didactic Center in Pejë, teachers from the municipalities of Pejë, Klinë, Deçan, Istog, Junik and Gjakovë, led by qualified trainers, have started creating a model plan that would be a guide for teachers who teach this subjects in the schools of the region.
In the past three years, about 80 teachers have been trained to teach Career Orientation, within our “Mismatch” project funded by Solidar Suisse, who have transferred this experience to students in dozens of schools in these six municipalities.
The annual plan will have two models, for schools in which it is implemented as an elective subject in ninth grades, and for schools that implement the new curriculum as a module of the “Life and Work” curriculum field.
The activity is also supported by the municipal directorates of education of the municipalities of Pejë, Klinë, Deçan, Istog, Junik and Gjakovë, which together with the NGO Syri i Vizioni have addressed to the Ministry of Education, to offer a pan model that can also serve in the schools of other municipalities in Kosovo.
Career guidance and counseling is seen as very important to help students identify their skills and make decisions about education and career.
