February 23, 2011: Within the framework of the project “Strengthening public supervision in the rule of law” implemented in partnership with FIQ from Prishtina, a debate was held in Peja on the topic “Implementation of policies against narcotics and the role of society”. The debate was held at the “Dukagjini” hotel in Peja and was attended by representatives of all institutions dealing with the fight against drug addiction in society: Police, District Court, Municipal Court, District Prosecutor’s Office, Social Center, Probation Service, Municipality, KKMF , directorates and student councils in 5 high schools, media, etc.
The meeting resulted in some recommendations for better coordination of institutions, which will be used in the drafting of the report on the situation in this sector that will be published during the year. The project “Strengthening supervision in the rule of law” aims to increase the efficiency of institutions for the rule of law and increase the role of civil society in the supervision of the work of these bodies.
