The Non-Governmental Organization Syri i Vizioni has started holding a professional hairdressing course for the women of the Egyptian and Ashkali community of the Mehhalle neighborhood of the Municipality of Klina, as a need and interest of these women to become skilled in the field of hairdressing in the future they can generate income from this profession, influencing their economic and professional development.
The purpose of holding this course is to train and raise the capacities of the women of these communities to offer them the opportunity of professional training in a certain field, influencing their independence. In the future, these women will be able to be employed more easily or even open such a business, generating income for their families.
In addition to holding the course which will last for three months, the community center in this neighborhood has also been equipped with more materials necessary for the development of this course, where after the end of the course the women of this neighborhood will use all communities, especially those of the Egyptian and Ashkali communities.
This initiative launched by the women of these communities is supported by the NGO Syri i Vizioni, within the “Active Citizenship” program supported by the Olof Plame International Center and SIDA.
