Pejë, June 15 – The Eye of Vision organization has organized a forum for the exchange of experiences “Successful women in politics, business and civil society”, in which about 40 women from the municipalities of the Dukagjin region have discussed the empowerment of women and a more active role for her in society. The three panelists Mimoza Kusari-Lila, mayor of the municipality of Gjakova, Linda Shala from the company “Data Project Electronics” and Ariana Qosaj Mustafa from Kipred and the Network of Women’s Groups have brought their successful experiences in these three sectors: in politics, business and civil society.
In front of an audience composed of active women in various fields and from active communities in municipalities and rural areas, the three panelists presented their path to success, as well as committed to joint action for the empowerment of women and giving them a role more active.
The activity is organized within the framework of the Women’s Support Project, which Syri i Vizioni, with financial support from USAID/ATRC, is implementing in four municipalities of the region: Pejë, Istog, Klinë Deçan and Junik, where groups of women from politics, business and civil society are actively acting to empower women and create conditions for promoting the role of women in all processes.
The initiative was taken from this meeting and a publication will be drafted that will present the successful women in the region in order to promote them to a wider audience.
