Pejë September 20 – In the Neighborhood “7 Shtatori”, the Eye of Vision organization has organized a joint meeting between residents of the Roma, Egyptian and Ashakli communities and municipal institutions, namely the Office for Communities, the water supply company “Hidrodrini” and the public company for cleaning “Ambienti” “, to identify the problems faced by the residents of these communities and finding a solution to eliminate the problems, especially the one with drinking water supply and waste removal as two very big problems in this neighborhood.

The purpose of this meeting was to identify and present complaints and concerns to municipal institutions, such as Hidrodrini, Ambientit and Higjiena, Office for Communities, whose directors participated.

During this meeting, the community has the opportunity to express their concerns and complaints and discuss them with the present participants of the municipal institutions. It was discussed and managed to find a solution to the problems that the community faces every day, and the Environment and Hygiene decided to clean and remove waste and containers from the neighborhood.

After the cleaning of the current waste in the neighborhood and the removal of the common containers, the company Ambienti will find the possibility of replacing the common container with individual containers or by distributing garbage bags, where at a certain time they will be collected by the employees of hygiene, for which help or the opportunity to request donations has been requested.

Seeing the difficult economic situation, the director of KRM Ambienti has asked the residents to make symbolic monthly payments from now on, at least 2 euros per month, in order to cover the costs of the company to come with a fixed schedule every week for waste collection and disposal. This would create a clean neighborhood and environment for everyone and better living conditions.

With the proposal of the director of the Environment, the heads of families of the communities present at this meeting also agreed that after the cleaning of the neighborhood, they will make sure that no more garbage is thrown in the neighborhood or in prohibited places.

It has also been possible to solve the problem with drinking water, since now a problem has been solved in one part of the neighborhood and the residents have water, and from next week it is expected that channels will be opened and the installation of water pipes will be done in the rest of the neighborhood as well. so that other houses have running and drinking water.

The activity takes place within the “Prospect +” project implemented by “Syri i Vizioni” and KFOS.
