Pejë, March 9 – The meeting was held with the heads of local councils “Listing of citizens’ priorities for this year”, this meeting was held in the framework of the project for strengthening Active Citizenship in Kosovo.
In this meeting, it was discussed with the heads of the local councils how many priorities or their needs were included by the municipality last year and what are the priorities of the citizens for this year.
According to the heads of the councils, investments in their municipality are not distributed equally, in some places more is invested and in some places less or none at all. Municipal investments are not very in harmony with the percentage of taxpayers and the contribution they make to the municipal budget.
The meeting was organized within the framework of the “Active Citizenship” project, which aims to develop active citizenship in Kosovo, which has been taking place for several years in the region of Peja and Prizren by the NGO “Syri i Vizionit” supported by the organization Olof Palm International Center.
