Pejë, June 27 – The Eye of Vision organization welcomes today’s approval of the Law on Child Protection, which passed with 76 votes of the deputies of the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo.

As an organization, we have always been and are an inseparable part of the work in the protection of children’s rights in Kosovo, specifically, the organization has helped the process of drafting and approving this Law. In cooperation with our strategic partner – Save the Children, Syri i Vizioni has sponsored the Amendment for Prohibition of Corporal Punishment and Violence against Children not only in school environments, but also in families, streets, and everywhere else.

Our organization has continuously made calls and organized numerous activities for this purpose, among which is the “Grow up with love” campaign, which started a year ago and will continue.

As part of this campaign, the march of a few days ago “Slippers are to be worn, not to be hit” was held, where citizens, children, members of civil society and deputies marched from the Assembly of Kosovo to the Square. Zahir Pajaziti” requesting the speedy approval of the Law on the Protection of Children’s Rights.

With the approval of this Law, our campaign will intensify even more to ensure the implementation of this same Law.

We express our sincerest thanks to all the MPs who voted today, and especially to the members of the Committee on Human Rights, Gender Equality, Missing Persons and Petitions for their tireless work and pushing forward today’s approval of this The law.
