The planned infrastructure works in the vicinity of Burim and around it in Istog have started these days. Visitors to this place have already seen the widening of the road from the western side of the spring, from the nearby restaurants, as well as the footings of the bridge, which will connect the two sides of the spring promenade.
A pedestrian bridge, amphitheater, protective walls, domes, lighting and many other works will be done within the project “Support for Agro-Tourism, Business and Infrastructure in the municipality of Istog, to increase and promote economic development and the creation of places sustainable work for a better future” and are aimed at improving the agro-business infrastructure in the municipality of Istog, while the prime contractor in the construction part is the company Macon shpk,
The project is implemented by the NGO “Syri i Vizioni” in partnership with the Municipality of Istog and is supported by the European Union office in Kosovo with 80 percent and the Municipality of Istog with 20 percent of the total amount. The main objectives of this project are to promote the economic growth of Istog, the development of potentials and opportunities for local support of agro-tourism and the strengthening of businesses.
The duration of the works is expected to be until the end of the year.
