Prishtina, April 16-17- The children of the ROR (Respect Our Right) monitoring group, through a two-day workshop held by Eye of Vision in partnership with Save the Children, have drawn up the work plan for this year, this plan that the children will raise their voice in different fields.
The work plan is focused on four priority areas for this year, such as the promotion of this group to local and national level institutions, to organizations that work with children and in the field of protection and children’s rights, to children and parents.

Another important area remains the advocacy for the direct involvement of children in the drafting of national and local policies, the exercise of the rights guaranteed by legislation and the improvement of the position of children in society.
The protection of children from various phenomena is one of the other important areas, the children of the ROR group will be committed to demand more responsibility and accountability from the institutions mandated to protect children.

Likewise, the fourth area is the protection and promotion of the rights of children with special needs, where the ROR group will engage in raising the awareness of the whole society, not only of the institutions, about the rights and needs of children with special needs, wherever they have more professional conditions and services in terms of public services and in the use of public spaces. In addition to the work plan focused on these four areas, four work committees have been created within the ROR group: the Commission for monitoring textbooks and the new curriculum, the Committee for Child-friendly Budgeting with the participation of children, the Committee for the promotion of the work of the ROR group and Committee for monitoring the work plan for this year.

In this work meeting, the secretariat of the group was also chosen, which will engage in the implementation of the group’s work regulations, and the obligations and responsibilities that the group has.
This workshop was held within the framework of the thematic program in the field of child protection and governance with children’s rights “Our Obligation to the Future – Protection of Children and Governance of Children’s Rights”, which is implemented by the Eye of Vision organization, in partnership with Save the Children, office in Kosovo.
