Dear citizens of Peja and Kosovo,

We are in the last days of the change of the year, when together we mark the end of one year and the entry into a new year. On this occasion when we rejoice and celebrate in our families, we remind you of the night of the change of weather a year ago, when our fellow citizen Shpresa Kastrati-Fetahaj lost her life from uncontrolled shooting.

“Syri i Vizioni” this year supports the initiative of her family members, to sensitize the citizens for a peaceful new year, for celebrations without shootings in our country.
The call of this family: “Last year it was our sister, this year it could be your sister”, has become the motto of the call that we also make against the use of weapons during the celebration of the change of seasons, with the hope that all together we influence that one’s joy does not end with another’s pain.
We invite you on Wednesday at noon in the square in the center of Peja to a peaceful gathering to raise awareness against the use of weapons on holidays.
The case of Hope is not the only one in Peja or in Kosovo.
Let’s make a joint call together so that such cases do not happen again in Kosovo.
