April 21, 2011: With the participation of the Ministry of Environmental Protection, municipalities and companies for waste management from all regions of Kosovo, a debate was held in Pristina regarding the draft law on waste. The meeting organized with the partner organization “Fol” from Prishtina was held within the project “Influence of local interest groups on the waste law and adaptation to EU standards” that since last year is being implemented by the NGO Syri i Vizioni with funding from USAID/ISC. Similar meetings have been held in all regions of Kosovo including all interest groups in this sector
At the meeting in Pristina, the participants came up with recommendations that, together with the recommendations collected in other meetings by experts, will take legal form and will be submitted to the ministry and the parliament to be included in the final law.
