The closing ceremony of the MOBKOS project is held

Peja September 29, 2011. Today, the closing ceremony of the MOBKOS urban mobility project, which has been implemented since 2009 in the city of Peja, was held in the municipal assembly of Peja. Present at this ceremony were officials of urban planning and public services from the main centers of Kosovo, as well as representatives from the Railways of Kosovo, civil society, various businesses, companies that deal with the drafting of urban plans in Kosovo and the media. In this ceremony, numerous presentations were made by the Municipality of Peja, who talked about the importance of the MOBKOS project in the development of urban plans in the city of Peja. There were presentations from various non-governmental organizations that presented their work that they did during the realization of the MOBKOS project in the development of cycling and walking paths, in the safety of students near schools, in the improvement of the development of normal traffic in cities, in urban transport, parking lots, cycling paths, etc.
At the end of the ceremony, rewards were distributed to all actors who contributed to the development of urban mobility, especially in the city of Peja. Also, the city of Peja was awarded the BAYPAD certificate, which made Peja part of other European cities for the development of cycling. The Mobko transfer ceremony was organized in cooperation with the Ministry of Infrastructure, the Flemish-Belgian Government, the Municipality of Peja and all other partners who have contributed to the urban mobility platform in Kosovo 2009-2011.
