Istog, April 30- Representatives of various institutions that deal with property have discussed together in a round table, in search of solutions to facilitate citizens in property registration and finding the most suitable ways to solve and carry the legacies. Representatives from the Municipality of Istog, the directorate of Urbanism, Cadastre, Administration, from the Basic Court of Istog, the prosecutor’s office, the Kosovo Police, notaries, lawyers and civil society activists have discussed the difficulties in the process of property registration and the settlement of inheritance. , as well as the possibilities to influence as much as possible the awareness of citizens to solve property issues.
At this table, the issues that emerged from the previous debates with citizens in the municipalities of Pejë, Klinë, Deçan and Istog were discussed, recommendations were made for improving the system. Representatives of the Municipality, the Court and the Notary have presented to each other the difficulties they faced in their mutual work and have given recommendations on how to avoid irregularities, how to serve the citizen even better in solving their problems.
The table was held in the framework of the “Protect your property” project that Eye of Vision is implementing with funding from USAID/ATRC and aims to raise awareness of property and inheritance issues.
