For the challenges of 2020 we needed a 2020 vision!
Dear friends, colleagues, collaborators, partners, donors,
The end of the year is a good opportunity to reflect on the progress we have made in our work and to see how we can more fully achieve our goals and objectives that we have set ourselves as an organization. The year that is passing by proved to us once again the importance of the work that “Syri i Vizioni” as an organization has and needs to provide assistance to our citizens.
Because of the troubles that the pandemic brought us, sometimes it seemed like this year would never end. Needless to say, 2020 was a challenging year for everyone, both personally and professionally, so I want to use this letter to thank everyone who helped us get through it easier.
I am especially proud and thankful for the organization’s team and how quickly they adapted and faced the situation created during this year. Despite the pandemic, we never completely closed our offices, even though we sent most members home, but we continued to work together as a team. This new way of working forced us to grow and become even stronger as an organization.
The disorienting pandemic that we faced during this year oriented us even more towards addressing the basic needs of the beneficiaries of the projects who, as always, raised them as issues of first importance. This was also the reason why, without neglecting the permanent activity built up over the years of the organization, in certain cases it made us focus on providing elementary aid, food and medicine, which our citizens of different communities needed. . Good job done, although we have to admit there were many challenges and uncertainties that I faced.
For the challenges of evit 2020 we needed vision 2020. For the year we are getting ready to enter, let’s remain hopeful that this pandemic that has taken over the world will end soon and we will return to ‘normality’ willingly increased commitment to make this country our best. We know we have a lot of work to do and we need to get on with it together.
