The working group for the drafting of the school-parent communication strategy for Career Orientation began its work

Prishtina, September 12 – The first meeting of the working group for the drafting of the School-Parent Communication Strategy for Career Orientation for Lower Secondary Education students was held at the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology. The strategy aims to actively involve parents in career guidance so that they can be good supporters of their children in the decisions they make about education and career.
The strategy is drawn up in cooperation between two projects: the EYE project (Helvetas Swiss Intercooperation Kosovo-HSIK and Management Development Associates-MDA), the ProKarriera project (Syri i Vizonit/Solidar Suisse), which are supporting the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology in drafting of this document.
In the first meeting held at MEST, the development of the Communication Strategy, the creation of the working group and the work plan until completion were discussed. The strategy will also have an action plan and will be drawn up in accordance with the formal and administrative requirements of the Office for Strategic Planning within the Office of the Prime Minister, and closely cooperating with the Municipal Directorates of Education (DKA), Schools, parental councils and experts from outside of this field.
Syri i Vizioni has been active with career counseling for six years in the municipalities of the region of Peja and Gjakova, therefore supporting this project and as a member of the working group will offer the local experiences created by the “Mismatch” project at the central level as well.
