Mitrovica October 18 – The Non-Governmental Organization “Syri i Vizioni” held a training for the students and the council of the elementary school “Andon Zako Çajupi” in Mitrovica, for the protection of children from bullying at school.
The purpose of this training is to create a safer environment for the children who attend this school, helping them to raise awareness about bullying and its forms, as well as preventing this phenomenon in their school.
Such trainings will also be held in the “Bedri Gjina” elementary schools in Mitrovica, as well as in the “Xhemail Kada” elementary school in Pejë.
These trainings are part of the “Together 4 children rights- Childprotection and Child Right Governance” program, which is being implemented by the Non-Governmental Organization “Syri i Vizioni” from Peja, supported by Save the Children International and SIDA.
The project aims to help children, schools and various organizations in protecting children from violence, to transform schools into safe places for children and to help create and strengthen child protection mechanisms.
The project is implemented in eight schools in four municipalities: primary schools “Ramiz Sadiku” and “Xhemail Kada” in Pejë, “Mustafa Bakia” and “Zekeria Rexha” in Gjakovë, “Tefik Çanga” and “Jeronim De Rada” in Ferizaj and “Bedri” Gjina” of “Andon Zako Çajupi” in Mitrovica, in the period from May to December 2013.
