Pejë, Klinë, Istog, November 2-23, 2017 – Within the awareness campaigns that are part of the project “Support in the integration and empowerment of Roma, Egyptian and Ashkali returnees, through the development of capacities in Primary Education, Kosovo”, which is supported by GIZ – German Agency for International Cooperation and is carried out by “Syri i Vizioni”, in the elementary schools “Avni Rrustemi” in Zallq, “7 Shtatori” in Cige, and “Haxhi Zeka” in Zahaq, as well as in the schools “Ismet Raci” ” and “Motrat Qiriazi” in Klina, awareness campaigns were carried out with parents and students who participate in Supplementary Education classes near these four schools. The theme addressed in these campaigns was November 20, the international day of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child. During the meeting with parents and children of the respective communities, there was a conversation about the content of the Convention and the importance of respecting the rights of the child, which are also its essential purpose.
