Pejë 07 September – The ombudsman, Hilmi Jashari, with his associates visited the Eye of Vision organization, to learn more about the work done by SiV and to strengthen the cooperation of the ombudsman’s institution with Eye of Vision.

He was received by the deputy director of the Organization, Qenan Bardhaj, who informed the Ombudsperson about the work that SiV is doing in various fields, with special emphasis in the field of human/children’s rights, legislation, active citizenship, accountability and transparency of institutions towards citizens, etc.

“The purpose of my visit is to once again confirm the strengthening of our cooperation with you as a civil society, and I congratulate you for the work you are doing, since the civil society in Kosovo has professional and humane potential in various fields, and this is not it is being used as much as it can and should be by institutions at the local and central level” said Jashari.

Both sides have agreed that Kosovo should work hard in the field of respecting human rights, with particular emphasis on children’s rights, fighting corruption, increasing accountability and transparency towards citizens and strengthening the justice system since these are the challenges and problems that Kosovo is constantly facing.

Also, they agreed that civil society and the Institution of the People’s Advocate can help a lot in improving these areas and that there should be a better coordination and cooperation of the institutions with the civil society and the Institution of the People’s Advocate.

At the end of the meeting, promotional materials promoting the work of the People’s Advocate Institution and Syri i Vizioni were distributed.
