Pejë, March 6- A meeting was held with representatives of the Serbian community of Pejë in the village of Gorazhdec in which they talked about ownership issues, inheritance, disputes and the problems of handling this issue in Kosovar institutions. Representatives from the Municipality of Pejë, OSCE, the notary service of Kosovo, the office for free legal aid, etc., showed the representatives of the community the Kosovar legislation and the ways of its implementation within the territory of Kosovo.
Community representatives have raised issues related to ownership, prolonged court proceedings dealing with property issues, illegal sales, usurpations and others related to their properties.
The meeting was held within the project “protect your property” funded by USAID/ATRC.
