Children’s meeting with the People’s Advocate Mr. Sami Kurteshi – A group of children from different municipalities of Kosovo will meet with the Ombudsman Mr. Sami Kurteshi, where it will be requested from this institution that the children are part of the decision-making and that their voice is heard by the institutions of Kosovo.

Children’s Public Debate with the Mayor of the Municipality of Gjakova, Mrs. Mimoza Kusari Lila – In this public debate, we will discuss what the municipality of Gjakova has done or what should be done in protecting children from violence and improving their situation.

National Conference “What the state should do in the protection of children” – The purpose of the conference is “Protection of children’s rights and their voice in decision-making”. The conference is attended by representatives from the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare, the Office for Good Governance within the Office of the Prime Minister, the People’s Advocate, the Center for Labor and Social Welfare, the Kosovo Police, the Probation Service, Defense Organizations of Children and Media.

Round table in Ferizaj – “What should the municipality do to protect children from violence” – Representatives of the responsible institutions, civil society, representatives from the council of parents and children as well as the media will be invited to this round table.

Selection of the best paintings and essays and distribution of prizes –
This activity will bring together teachers of two different subjects, Albanian Language and Visual Art, and students from 10 primary schools from 5 municipalities (Prishtina, Pejë, Gjakovë, Mitrovica and Ferizaj), where the Child Protection project is being implemented.
Students participating in this activity will paint and write essays on the theme “Protection of children from violence”.
At the end, a committee made up of teachers will select and award the best essays and paintings made by the students. The activity will take place in the premises of “Hotel Afa” in Pristina.
