Gjakova, Istog, June 7 and 8 – Teachers from the municipalities of Gjakova and Istog, who during the past year have been trained and have started to hold career counseling and guidance in their schools, express their satisfaction with the interest of students in the first year of application of this subject. Applied mainly as an elective subject, but also as a module within the Life and Work curriculum, Career Orientation has been well received by students in those schools that have started, while in other schools teachers have shown interest in applying it in the following years. until with the new curriculum this subject becomes mandatory in all lower secondary schools in Kosovo.
In the meetings held in Gjakova and Istog, the municipal directors of education Diana Qarkaxhia from Gjakova and Agim Haxhiu from Istog have supported them in their work.
The training and licensing of teachers for counseling and career guidance for three years in the municipalities of the region of Peja is organized by Syri i Vizioni with financial support from Solidar Suisse within the Mismatch project, which aims to adapt schools to the labor market in Kosovo. .
