Istog, 12.06.2024- Syri i Vizionit in cooperation with the Municipality of Istog has opened the first intergeneration solidarity center in Istog.  This center will be at the service of the elderly on a daily basis, where every service to them is offered free of charge. In addition to the daily stay, various activities will be organized in the center, where the elderly will spend a different day and socialize. Also, the activities will take place between the elderly and children because joint activities offer opportunities to develop social skills, such as communication, cooperation and empathy. Children learn to be more careful and understanding of the needs of the elderly.

The opening of the center was carried out within the program “Building friendly communities for the elderly through intergenerational action in Kosovo – AGE+” which is implemented by the Syri I Vizionit in partnership with Volkshilfe Solidaritat and financed by the Austrian Development Agency.
