Pejë, July 18 – Syri i Vizioni has organized the meeting, “Increasing cooperation between unions and businesses” within the Active Citizenship project, the purpose of which was to discuss the role of unions in Kosovo, as well as cooperation between unions and businesses in the region of Peja and Prizren.
During this meeting, the role of unions and businesses was discussed, the possibilities of benefits that employers and employees can have in using the role and voice of unions, the identification of the needs of unions and the increase of cooperation between unions and businesses. Also during this meeting was discussed the possibilities and role of what unions should do to increase membership in the business sector, as well as what unions should do to raise their voice, in the protection of workers’ rights in the private sector and public.
This is a meeting that continues to be held within the “Active Citizenship” project, which aims to develop active citizenship in Kosovo. The project is being implemented for several years in the region of Peja and Prizren by the NGO “Syri i Vizioni” supported by the organization Olof Palme International Center.
