Istog, July 30- In the municipality of Istog, a new business led by a farmer woman from the village of Gurrakoc has started work, this is Vjollca Kabashi, who has added a new activity to her work as a farmer, such as the production of beehives. for Bees, thus creating good opportunities for the supply of quality beehives made of wood.
“Seeing the importance and need that beekeepers have, starting from myself, for quality beehives, then my commitment as a farmer who earlier dealt with the cultivation of vegetables and bees, I wanted to create a business for the production of beehives , which for me was a good opportunity since my husband and I already have experience in this field”.
In order to improve working conditions in quality machinery and quality raw material, Vjolla is also one of the beneficiaries of the grant within the program “Women and persons with disabilities as agricultural entrepreneurs in Kosovo”, implemented by Syri Vizionit, financed by the Austrian Development Agency (ADA) with funds from the Austrian Development Cooperation and co-financed by Brot für die Welt.
Today, she has transformed her engagement as a farmer into Sartup “Vjolla Kabashi B.I”, now besides her, she has also engaged her husband and her son in her business, that if she continues with this pace of work and requests from beekeepers, she will also engage additional workers, it should be noted, that only within these two months, since it has been equipped with the machinery and other means of the grant. It has supplied many beekeepers with hives, selling over 50 hives and continues to produce to meet the demands of beekeepers.
Vjollca Kabashi, is one of the 28 beneficiary farmers, women and persons with disabilities from the municipalities of Pejë, Gjakovë, Istog and Rahovec, who have benefited from the program “Women and persons with disabilities as agricultural entrepreneurs in Kosovo”, implemented by Syri Vizionit, financed by the Austrian Development Agency (ADA) with the funds of the Austrian Development Cooperation and co-financed by Brot für die Welt.
