Students and school councils are trained to prevent bullying and protect children from it in schools

Ferizaj October 11 – The Non-Governmental Organization “Syri i Vizioni” has started holding trainings for the protection of children from bullying in the primary schools “Zekeria Rexha” in Gjakovë, “Tefik Çanga” and “Jeronim De Rada” in Ferizaj, where students have participated. and school councils are occasionally informed about the forms of bullying that children may have been or may be victims of this phenomenon, as well as ways to protect themselves from bullying.
The purpose of these trainings is to create a safer environment for children, who continue learning in these schools, helping them to raise awareness about bullying and its forms, as well as preventing this phenomenon in these schools.
Such trainings will also be held in “Bedri Gjina” and “Andon Zako Çajupi” elementary schools in Mitrovica, as well as in “Xhemail Kada” elementary school in Pejë.
These trainings are part of the “Together 4 children rights- Childprotection and Child Right Governance” program, which is being implemented by the Non-Governmental Organization “Syri i Vizioni” from Peja, supported by Save the Children International and SIDA.
The project aims to help children, schools and various organizations in protecting children from violence, to transform schools into safe places for children and to help create and strengthen child protection mechanisms.

The project is implemented in eight schools in four municipalities: primary schools “Ramiz Sadiku” and “Xhemail Kada” in Peja, “Mustafa Bakia” and “Zekeria Rexha” in Gjakovë, “Tefik Çanga” and “Jeronim De Rada” in Ferizaj, and ” Bedri Gjina” and “Andon Zako Çajupi” in Mitrovica, in the period from May to December 2013.
