Teacher’s Day is celebrated in the schools of the region of Peja

Pejë, Istog, March 7th and 8th – Teacher’s Day is celebrated in “Xhemal Kada” SHFMU. Students from the supplementary learning center, which is supported by Syri i Vizioni, have organized a literary class and a cultural program with poems and essays dedicated to Teacher’s Day, March 7. On this occasion, prizes were awarded to students for the best poems and essays. This activity is organized within the Prospect + project “Promoting the sustainable integration of Roma, Ashkali and Egyptians in Peja and Suharekë, Kosovo” which is implemented by Eye of Vision in Peja and supported by the Federal Ministry for Cooperation and Economic Development (BMZ ) and the Karl Kübel Stiftung für Kind und Familie (KKS) and the Kosovo Foundation for Open Society (KFOS).
Meanwhile, in the Serbobran and Gurrakoc educational centers, the intercultural activity “Teacher – an example for us children” dedicated to Teacher’s Day, March 7, was organized.
The participants were students of all age groups, and from all communities. The intercultural activities were accompanied by a program of the history of March 7, with poems, songs, handicrafts, as well as the screening of a documentary film, which had as its theme the beginnings of Albanian education.
This activity was organized within the project “EU Support for the Implementation of the Strategy for the Integration of Roma, Ashkali and Egyptian Communities 2 – Education for Integration” (called EU SIMRAES 2), is a three-year project, which is implemented by Syri i Vizioni in partnership with KEC, in the Municipality of Istog and is financially supported by the European Union and KFOS.
