The workshop is held to strengthen and operationalize the mechanisms for the protection of children within the school

Mitrovica November 14 – The Non-Governmental Organization “Syri i Vizioni” has held a workshop with the council of the elementary school “Bedri Gjinaj” in Mitrovica, for the design of the strategy for better functioning of the mechanisms for the protection of children’s rights and their empowerment.

This workshop has been seen by the school council, by teachers, students and parents, as quite important which will help schools to create functional mechanisms by creating safer environments within school buildings.

This workshop was held within the framework of the “Together 4 children rights- Childprotection and Child Right Governance” project, which is being implemented by the Non-Governmental Organization “Syri i Vizioni” from Peja, supported by Save the Children International and SIDA.

The project aims to help children, schools and various organizations in protecting children from violence, to transform schools into safe places for children and to help create and strengthen child protection mechanisms.

Such workshops will also be held in the councils of primary schools “Ramiz Sadiku” and “Xhemail Kada” in Peja, “Mustafa Bakia” and “Zekeria Rexha” in Gjakovë, “Tefik Çanga” and “Jeronim De Rada” in Ferizaj and ” Andon Zako Çajupi” in Mitrovica.
