The Commission for Amending the Constitution of the Republic of Kosovo in cooperation with the NGO network “Democracy in Action” has held the public debate “The Constitution is changing – Have your say” in Peja.

The purpose of the debate was to consult the citizens regarding these issues: Who can run for president, who can propose candidates for president, how the election of the president will be voted on, before whom he takes the oath and who can dismiss the president.

The debate was held in the Municipal Assembly Hall of Peja and was attended by a large number of citizens of Peja as well as five members of the commission for the amendment of the constitution. “Democracy in action” is holding a series of debates and an awareness campaign to increase the participation of citizens in the process of changing the country’s constitution.
