Parents ask for a social dialogue with the institutions mandated to protect children

Pejë, November 10 – Syri i Vizioni in partnership with Save the Children have organized a meeting with the heads of parents of primary and lower secondary schools “Ramiz Sadiku” and “Xhemail Kada” and the Center for Social Work, with the aim of initiating social dialogue between parents, schools and Centers for Social Work.
The purpose of this meeting was to initiate a social dialogue between parents and schools with the CPS, in order to prevent early violence against children both at school and in the family, thus increasing the capacity of parents to work with their children. in addressing and solving problems or disagreements they have with children.
The parents and representatives of these two schools have been informed about the work and services offered by the PSC in the field of protecting children from violence and other phenomena, and the possibilities of involving this institution in solving issues or disagreements that parents have with their children. theirs, but also of the school with children.
The parents have described this meeting with them as very necessary and have even requested that such meetings be held by other institutions that are mandated to protect children from violence at school and in the family.
Parents have even expressed dissatisfaction with the non-reaction of the Kosovo Police when they are informed about the various phenomena that occur at school, outside the school but also in the community, for which help has also been requested from Syri i Vizioni and Save the Children who together to influence this institution and those of the judiciary to be more professional and react much faster when children and their protection from violence and other phenomena are in question.
This meeting was part of the work that Syri i Vizioni in partnership with Save the Children has been working for several years in the seven largest municipalities of the country in the field of child protection. Such meetings will also be held in Pristina and Gjakova.
