Think Globally,
Act Locally

Pejë, May 12 – The Syri i Vizioni organization (SiV) on Thursday organized a solemn ceremony for the signing of contracts with eight start-up enterprises from the municipalities of Pejë, Istog, Klinë, Deçan and Junik.

This ceremony was organized within the framework of the two-year program “Empowerment and employment of young people, women and other groups in need in five municipalities of Kosovo” supported by European Union funds, which has started to be implemented by SiV in partnership with the organization “The Balkan Forum” as well as the Municipality of Istog.

Support for these enterprises is provided through the grant component. This component of the project aims to create opportunities to develop their capacities in the development of small businesses and create new jobs for disadvantaged communities such as youth, women, persons with disabilities and those from ethnic minority groups ( Bosnians, Serbs, Roma, Egyptians, Ashkali), especially those aged 15-30.

The project as such aims to provide additional active measures for the labor market, such as providing support for specific training, on-the-job training, providing work practice and self-employment of vulnerable groups in Kosovo, specifically in the municipalities of Pejë, Istog, Deçan, Klinë and Junik.
