The organization “Syri i Vizioni” from Peja held a public meeting with the citizens of the municipality of Istog in which the issues of property, inheritance and regulation of the proper documentation related to the property were discussed.
The debate held in the hall of the Municipal Assembly of Istog has gathered dozens of citizens from different localities of the municipality, for whom representatives of the Municipality of Istog and the judiciary have provided the necessary information. In the first part, innovations and appropriate information were presented by the directors of cadastre and public services, agriculture, administration and the notary service, while then they answered the citizens’ questions. The interests were mainly related to the transfer of unregistered inheritance in several generations, property disputes, housing cadastre and other problems collected over the years and decades in this region.
The meeting is held within the project “Protect your property” which is financed by ATRC/USAID and aims to raise the awareness of citizens and institutions on the importance of solving property issues.
