October 05-09 – The non-governmental organization Syri i Vizioni, within the “Active Citizenship” program, has started the implementation of the “Active Citizenship Week” campaign, which aims to activate citizens and make them aware of taking initiative to change the situation in own life.

Active Citizenship Week will continue to take place in the five municipalities in which the project is implemented: Peje, Istog, Kline, Deçan and Rahovec, giving citizens the opportunity to address the institutions with requests, complaints and recommendations that are collected during the days of active citizens, and then they will be delivered to the mayors of municipalities in each of these municipalities where the campaign takes place.

The campaign is being carried out in the center of these cities by placing a table and banners with the motto of the campaign “Active Citizenship Week”, as well as a large billboard where citizens can leave messages for the mayors or the institutions of the municipalities. theirs. Also, they have the opportunity from there to make requests and complaints to the relevant institutions for their problems, which will then be submitted to the designated directorates by the women assembly members who are part of the campaign.

Also, in order to achieve the goal of the campaign for the awareness and activation of citizens, a radio debate was held to inform them about the “Active Citizenship Week”, and they were invited to be active and take initiatives for their problems. In these radio debates, citizens will be informed about how the campaign went and which of the cities was more active.

This project aims to educate, sensitize and raise the awareness of citizens as a good example of active citizenship and raising their awareness, which is carried out by the NGO Syri i Vizioni, within the “Active Citizenship” program, financially supported by Olaf Palme Internacional Center and AIDS.
