Prizren, February 25- About 30 activists from civil society, politics, active and volunteer citizens from the municipalities of the Peja region attended the workshops for active citizenship in Kosovo. In four days they have identified problems and issues to be addressed in their municipalities, and have gone through different stages from identifying needs in the community, to addressing them for solutions. The project aims to promote active citizenship and encourage groups and active citizens to initiate and bring about positive changes in the community they live in.
The “Active Citizens” project is implemented by Syri i Vizoni with funding from the British Council and it is being implemented in the municipalities of Pejë, Deçan and Istog. The participants of the workshop in these municipalities have also drawn up some projects for action in these municipalities, identifying and addressing some citizen issues for solution and have drawn up project plans for which they will seek the appropriate support to implement them in the coming months.
